MHA – supporting independence for older people

This is a service for older people in Chopwell and Blackhall Mill who still live in their own home who may feel isolated, lonely and unable to get out.

The aim is to support elderly people in the two villages in a variety of ways by promoting healthy lifestyles for physical and mental well-being and provide relevant activities aiming to improve the quality of life of members and offer friendship and support.

The main activities and focus for MHA is:

Social inclusion, social opportunites, befriending, outings, events, luncheon club, activities and community events.

MHA also organise information events with Trading Standards, Fire Service Pensions Agency etc.
